Loch Lomond Whiskies Medal
We would firstly like to thank all the clubs that entered The Loch Lomond Whiskies Medal in Partnership with the PGA.
We have enjoyed seeing over 120 clubs participate and the feedback from clubs and members has been very positive. After all, who doesn’t like the chance of a dram or gin and the chance to win extra prizes as part of a club medal or competition.
We have chosen and contacted the winners of the individual prizes from the clubs that uploaded their two winning golfers. We look forward to hosting some at the 150th Open Championship. However we are pleased to let you know the winners came from the following clubs across the UK:
- Turnhouse Golf Club
- Skelmorlie Golf club
- Douglas Park Golf Club
- East Renfrewshire Golf Club
- Hailes Golf Club
- Pollok Golf Club
The slightly harder task was choosing the overall Club Prizes. After much consideration the winning club was Pollok Golf Club with Falkirk Tryst Golf Club a close second.
We’d like to commend both clubs on how they engaged with the Loch Lomond Whiskies Medal and incorporated it into their medals and club events. What set Pollok Golf Club apart was the number of events they did using the packs, the club displays and ongoing activity that’s planned with the members. Stephen and his team at Falkirk Tryst ran an amazing Professionals day and even produced a video showing all what they did for their members and ensured Loch Lomond gained superb visibility on the day.
Our third place winner was Mendip Spring Golf & Country Club.
Once again thanks very much for participating in the inaugural Loch Lomond Whiskies Medal. It was great to see when out playing golf the plinths and bottles behind the bars in clubs with the point of sale on the bar.
We plan to make next year even better so if you have any feedback on how we could do that please contact: Scott.firstname.lastname@example.org or feed into your local PGA Representative.
